Project 365 #1 - Naked Eye Photography by Owen Law

In celebration of all the new visitors to my blog as of late and my existing fans, I would like to thank you all through a project that I have been meaning to start for quite some time. I am setting a challenge for myself to post an image a day for the next year - amongst my fellow photographers it is called a 365 project for obvious reasons. I found the perfect image to start things off - it's called "light at the end of the tunnel." I can't tell you how exhilarating it is to be moving in the right direction, faster and stronger through my tunnel towards the . . . well that's for me to know and you to find out!

Shannon Family

If you were ever wondering what a crazy, fun lovin, super friendly bunch of people looked like then look no further. I have know this family for about 10 years now and I was so excited to get the chance to shoot them as a group. If you look through some of my older posts you will probably recognize Keri and her daughter Mya but this is the first time they have all been behind my lens at the same time. I had a blast and the location was great, this was the first time I have done portraits at the Citadel Theater in Edmonton and it was beautiful especially considering there was still snow on the ground outside. I am so excited that Spring has finally arrived which means that I can start doing portrait shoots outside. Edmonton has so many great locations and I am looking forward to exploring as many of them as possible this year, perhaps one of them will be with you:-)

Rene and Lisa - Married! - Naked Eye Photography by Owen Law

Hi Everyone, it's been a while since my last post but what a way to get back into the swing of things. I had the privilege of being a part of Rene and Lisa's wedding in April and it was amazing. They are such great couple and have such a strong and supportive family, it was a pleasure getting to know everyone. As you can see from the images below, the entire wedding party looked just amazing especially the bride and groom. After the ceremony we ventured downtown to Commerce Plaza where we got some fun and exciting shots, then off to the Edmonton Petroleum Club for the reception. The entire evening was such a blast, I've never seen such a great multimedia show at a wedding. Thank you for the honor of sharing your special day with you, the memories of the day will be with me forever.

Feel the Burn!

The guilt I feel every day as I watch my wife eat right and stay in shape is beginning to get to me. I mean up until now I had no problem playing spectator but with the beginnings of a tire starting to develop I think I had better take action before it is too late. I have been struggling with what program I should embark on, until now! Meet my new fitness instructor and mentor. Feel the Burn!
