naked eye photography: July 2009

When I asked Mr. Cloutier how his summer was so far he hit the nail on the head when he replied - "what summer." I can't believe we are already half way through July and today was the first decent weather we've seen so far. At least it wasn't raining the day of the shoot but the wind did kept us on our toes. You may recognize this great family from Rene and Lisa's wedding I shot this past March. It was great to work with the bunch again seeing as though they were all seasoned pros in front of the lens.

I hope everyone is having a great summer despite the poor weather, continue to check the blog daily for the pic a day and more exciting stuff to come. I love summer, too bad it is so short!

Last Sunday I went on a model shoot with a fellow photographer down at the Legislature Grounds and it was awesome. I want to sent a huge shout out to Randy Pond for inviting me along - it was great to finally meet you in person and to be able to shoot alongside you. I am planning on building out my portfolio so that I can become one of the photographers on a site called Model Mayhem. The site is designed to pair up models in need of photographers and vice versa. It is also a porthole for agencies that are in need of model and product shoots, which translates into a need for photographers.

Emily is a local Makeup Artist who also happens to be a model as well. As you can see, she is great at both. Thanks Emily for spending the afternoon with Randy and myself - it was a blast.

Thanks again Randy - I can't wait for our next shoot together.
