Merry Christmas from Naked Eye Photography and the Law Family - Sherwood Park, Alberta

Christmas is my favorite time of year - well, if there has to be snow on the ground! I mean it is tough to beat +30 degree heat in the summer. All kidding aside, I love this time of year - everyone just seems potentially more happy. By potentially I mean that if we set aside all the stresses that the holidays bring and remember how great Christmas is from the perspective of a kid, then we can come to truly appreciate this time of year. I have an awesome family and I can't wait for Christmas day . . . only two more sleeps! My wish is for everyone to have a great Christmas filled with happy memories that will stay in our hearts forever.

It's hard to believe, but things are starting to unfold with the new business. I have been doing countless hours of research on the web and have picked up a lot - so much so that I am almost ready to jump. I have narrowed down the selection to three potential websites and, as you can see here, I have just made my first draft of the new blog. I'm not overly crazy about this template, but it will do until I get something a little more flashy. Next steps: registering the name, designing a logo, applying for the business permit . . . and the list goes on. It looks worse than it is and I am loving every step of the process. Mostly because they are my steps and not for someone else. Stay tuned for future posts. I am shooting (no pun intended) to start with a minimum of weekly posts and grow from there.

With only 8 days till Christmas I hope everyone is enjoying this time of year and not getting too stressed out. In case you were wondering what I want for Christmas this year, you are out of luck - I already have everything a guy could ask for . . . my family.
